We the undersigned member companies agree to cooperate with one another to the best of our ability in order to achieve the maximum output as a result of our OSGD- ENGAGE İstanbul Project. The project aims to achieve the below between March-December 2008:

    Objectives

  • a. Initially as a pilot-create awareness on the beneifts of recycling to students at a local state elementary school in İstanbul. This will be in cooperation with the municipality in which the school is located for picking up the waste, as well a non profit that has experience in recycling by using their education materials.(completion April 2008)
  • b. After this pilot, we hope to take our awareness campaign to nearby neighborhoods and malls to gain support from the public. (May 2008)
  • c. After spreading this education program to schools in the area, we hope to work with the municipality to build a recycling plant as per the British model, that creates renewable energy and leverages the marginalized workforce. (September-December 2008)
  • d. Leverage this initiative to invite SME’s to become involved in CSR initiatives.
  • e. In parallel, create trust between non profit organizations and companies.

    Deliverables

  • a. We hope to change attitudes and behaviors of youth regarding recycling. And increase the number of students ÇEVKO (protection of the environment and recycling organization) reaches each year.
  • b. Give a view to the school management and families that recycling is worth the effort.
  • c. Help the residential neighborhood take ownership of recycling, through gradual behavior change.
  • d. Encourage the public at the local mall to understand the value of  recycling.
  • e. To help the municipality to invest more in the infrastructure conducive for recycling. 

    Platform for Cooperation

  • 1. We will provide the utmost support to enable the development and implementation of our mutually agreed project, which we aim to complete by 30 April 2008.
  • 2. We commit to recruit as many employee volunteers as possible from our companies.
  • 3. We understand that the project may not reflect our own company’s Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) initiative and have the permission from our management to support the project.
  • 4. We agree to support the costs for the coordination, development, implementation by Mrs. Eda Çarmıklı Yolcu and assessment of the project by ...................... . All inclusive cost is ...............Euro participating fee, plus the total project costs incurred.   

    In return, OSGD-ENGAGE İstanbul Member Companies will recieve the following benefits,

  • 1. All the printed materials involved in the implementation of the designated project will reflect the brands of participating companies and volunteers.
  • 2. The project will be promoted in the media with the permission of each member in the form of a press release, or feature news article in printed, tv and electronic media.
  • 3. News on the project will be included in the newsletters of Özel Sektör Gönüllüler Derneği and Business in the Community , UK and their parters’ websites.

I accept the above conditions as a member of the OSGD-ENGAGE İstanbul Project.
