"Southeast Europe: People and Culture" photo competition has received 3200 photos from all over Europe, sent in by amateur and professional photographers wanting to share their image of the Western Balkans and Turkey. The largest numbers of contributions came from Croatia, Turkey, Serbia and Romania. Turkey is by far the most depicted country in the submitted photos.

Now, it's time to vote for the Public's Favourite. The jury consisting of professional photographers met in Brussels on 29 January to select their top 24 photos, which can be seen from the link http://www.southeast-europe.eu/?id=1060. You can all have your say by voting for the photo that you like the best.

The winner of the Public's Favourite Award will receive photographic equipment worth max € 1.000 and will be invited to the opening events of the photo exhibitions in Madrid and Brussels in May 2010.
